Evelyn update

Hair has been a bitch and a half.  I think I have a good solution to rigging it so I'm going to go ahead and paint in the strands.  I've also experimented with the uvs so I'm hoping it all turns out well.  For the most part the main texture is done but if I have the time to bring her into udk I'll continue to polish them.  Knives were also redesigned to something I think is much stronger than what I had before.

Thesis Update

Finished the lowpoly, ao and normal bakes.  I've kept it close to what I wanted the polycount to be which is about 15k buuuut I haven't done the hair yet which I'm betting comes in around 1.5k. Since it's only half a head  I should be able to get away with that.  I could of reduced it further but really since it's a portfolio piece I decided to be somewhat liberal with my polycount. I plan to use a detail map for the glasses even though I probably didn't have too. Everything right now is baked onto one texture sheet that will be 2048 while the hair will be a separate 512x256 most likely.

I've also included a pic of the progress I've made with texturing.  Right now it's all still hand painted base colors with just a few things left to finish.  The diffuse will be pretty dark since, just about everything is metal and no the skin has one more pass to go before it's finished. Come tomorrow I'll toss it all in xnormal and bake out the diffuse and should have the textures finished by friday.  Then that gives me time to rig and get some nice presentation shots.
